Fire Soul... Rei has lovers in both the anime and the manga, but to whom she is giving her affections changes depending on the version. The original manga hints slightly that Rei and Jadeite were a couple (there is slightly more evidence to indicate a relationship between these two than the other Shittenou and Inner Guardians) but in many ways compared to the anime, Rei is much more reserved around the opposite sex. In fact, she acts entirely femmenist- she hates men. Still, even in the manga love comes and goes for Rei.The anime, however, changes Rei's opinions on men, and in the first season she even dates Mamoru briefly. And how could we forget the romance between Rei and Yuuchirou, the helper to the Shinto Shrine? Certainly, Rei had her share of warm and fuzzy feelings and even heartbreak...
