Lovers Eternally... Usagi and Mamoru are the central romance of Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, and they have a dynamic past, present and future together. Indeed, their love story starts before the series does in the Silver Millenium and ends well after the series is completed going (at least) to the realms of Crystal Tokyo in the future. It's hard to imagine such a compatible couple disliking each other vehemently from adam, but they did- it is this twist, similar to Pride and Predjudice that makes First Season romantic fanfictions so popular. Did they have secret feelings of kindness through their feuding or did it develop slowly-- or did they rely completely on their past to get them together?Depending on which version of the story you follow, the answer may be different. The anime, for example, showed less initial affection between Usagi and Mamoru during the beginning, where as the manga shows affection not only between Tuxedo Kamen and Sailormoon, but also between Usagi and Mamoru.
