Chibichibi's Dango Atama 2

Chibichibichibichibichibichibichibichibichibichibi CHIBI!

What! But you promised this time! Oh.. I see you like Seiya better. You do know she's a girl.. fine, fine get your free treats!

Chibichibi is hard to decide what color to dye your hair.. if you are doing Sailor Cosmos then it's easy because it's white.. but with Chibichibi it depends on the version. In the anime it's almost red, in the manga it's a dark pink.. I guess you'll have to decide, either way note that the bangs are not the same nor is the ear thing. By the way.. I wouldn't really force a little kid to do this.. ^^;; afterall a girl with pink hair is not exactly popular in the kindergarden playground..

READ ALL DIRECTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU TRY THIS OUT!

Note: I scanned the pic above and altered it. . You can take it if you want, but I guarentee the original is far better. Also this works with shorter hair than the other version does.

Tip: Try Usagi's version 3 first [If I have it up]! Also Read the Dango FAQ and e-mail guidelines before e-mailing me questions. (It's in your best interest.)

Materials

- You need a comb (or a brush)

- eight elastics (or you can substitute two scrunchies in the place of two elastics, or a lot of hair pins in the place of all the elastics, if your a purist)

- (optional): decoration

You and your hair just past shoulders (1.5 - 2ft approximately) of hair

P.S. I will not take the responsibility dyeing expenses for this project. I tells ya your on your own. In fact I caution you to be careful in doing this. ^.-

Instructions:

1. To do this Chibichibi allowed me to take a picture.. but she got hungry and wandered off. But she does reccomend gathering your materials as listed above. (I think that's what she meant)

2. If your hair is not parted exactly in the middle of you head, do so now. Then continue that line to the back of your head. You can either hold one side of your hair and wait for the next instruction, OR you could use a scrunchie, or hair elastic.

3. You want to make four ponytails. [look at the figure to find out how high and where.] There should be two on each side located very close together. Make them tight as possible and fix them in place with elastics. (which is technically cheating, but we don't have the hair to make the non-cheating version.)

4. Now that all the ponytails are established, take the ponytail towards the back of the head on your right side and twist it towards the back of your head (look at figure to see what direction). Make this ponytail into a bun, but leave some of the hair loose (not a lot), secure this bun with another elastic.

5. Now, take the ponytail on the right side in the front position and twist it the opposite direction of the one that you had in the back (this would mean you would twist it forward). Hold the extra hair that you have once you established the bun, pinch that hair with your right hand, with your left hand bring the remaining hair towards the front and over the front of the other bun. [See figure to see what I mean.] let go with your right hand and let it spread over the other bun, bring the remaining hair around to the back and you have your heart shaped, dango.

6. Take the ponytail that you had from the other bun and join the two pieces together. Put some hair fasteners into the dango and secure it firmly.

7. If you are doing Chibichibi, and not Sailor Cosmos, warm up the curling iron (about a 1/2 inch barrel to 1 inch barrel is recomended). Next, you are going to make the other side, so take the hair and start with the FRONT bun FIRST. (If you really, really want to be purist, otherwise start with the back bun first) twist that towards the back. Secure the bun. Next take the back bun and also twist it towards the back. Wrap the extra hair around to the front. This will make the hair look like the picture! ^_^ Secure the buns.

10. If you still plan on doing Chibichibi and not Sailor Cosmos curl the ends of the hair so it matches that of the top picture. Make sure they are twisting in the right direction. (the spiral should twist in towards your face.) ^_^ It's a good idea to use a little hair spray to make the curl and your hair stay together.

11. Now you can go around and tug on people's arms and say Chibichibichibi and repeat their last lines and expect treats. If you did Cosmos, well you can gripe about how you don't have the courage of Sailor Moon.

12. Note: If you hair the extra hair and it's way too long and you want to be Chibichibi, these are adjustable, just make the individual dango larger.
