BTW, I thought loss of power to enemies fit him to a tee. King Endymion isn't in physical form for most of the story arc. In addition his other versions of himself aren't exactly immune to brain washing.
Materials Used: Materials Collection, Photoshop, Manga Studio EX, Flood (from Flaming Pear), stock images I made previously of Crystal Tokyo and that sky. (One hell of a night sky tutorial)

I increased the saturation on her clothes, face, etc and darkened her hair just a bit to make it look like if it was a final painting rather than a loose sketch.

Queen Neherenia from the Materials Collection
The colored-in sword from Volume 3 that Venus uses.

Reversed / Negative: Wasteful extravagance. Imprudence, incapacity, poor leadership.
Person to Represent: Professor Tomoe
Artist Description: This one wasn't hard to do. I had to darken some areas since the Materials Collection skimps out on color. What was a pain though was the background and the intermeshing of that sword.

Person to Represent: Uranus's Sword
Artist Description: It's Uranus's Sword. It's in outer Space because I needed a background. The background is a stock Image that I use a lot. Why? Because I'm too lazy to make another one. The Sword is floating in space. I'm aware that the traditional has a hand attached to it, and I could have done so, but I felt it interfered with the card. It has no crown because everyone knows that it is implied. Ten'ou King of the Sky/Heavens. Plus there aren't many crowns in SM.

Person to Represent: The Chalice
Artist Description: Cups represents water and emotion. This cup--the chalice is representative of Sailor Moon. She is associated with water and emotion through the moon. This chalice both manga and anime was called because of strong emotions more than any other item. Thus I chose it.
I faked the color spray with a gradient, then noise with Gaussian checked. Then I added a Gaussian blur (very soft).
For the radial I used straight lines in white, used polar coordinates, brought down the fill level to zero, used the layer style for gradient, did a radial gradient.

Person to Represent: The Collapse of Vega
Artist Description: This was a pain to first clean up to get out all of the characters, then to retone, then to figure out the color scheme. I kept thinking it would be easier to draw her from scratch... I settled for yellow hair because the manga comments that she looks like Sailor Moon, except she's fat. That means she most likely has yellow hair... I chose a red top, because I know Takeuchi-sensei had to use a hot color for that. Since Takeuchi-sensei doesn't tend to repeat color next to each other, which in a sense looks horrid, I went to the other hot color that's also a mother tone, that's red. Since I had red, I knew that the bottom color had to be a cool color. I looked for Kimono color sets, and after a lot of fussing, decided on purple or blue. Blue happens to be Sailor Moon's fuku color... so I chose that. It had to happen at night, so I colored the background a darker blue. Overall it was a pain. In general, I find doing photo manipulations, even of this small scale more troublesome than just drawing and coloring it myself... but I didn't want to destroy Takeuchi-sensei's art... so I manipulated it.
