Manga: once one of the members of Prince Endymion's court and guardian, Kunzite helped to protect the Prince. He was manipulated by Queen Beryl and Queen Metallia and helped to attack the Moon with them in the Silver Millennium. Kunzite was reborn with the other major players of the war.
Anime: His past affiliation with Endymion isn't really mentioned. He is simply one of the shitennou who is reborn and helps Queen Metallia and Beryl.
